About the role

Responsibilities

  • Run the Dish Pit
  • Wash all wares - pots, pans, flatware, glasses, and service items - by hand or using dishwashers, to the highest standard of cleanliness and sanitation
  • Return clean equipment, dishes, and utensils to their correct, designated storage areas promptly
  • Stock serving stations, refrigerators, and cupboards with dishes and utensils so the kitchen always has what it needs
  • Move dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to the work area safely and efficiently
  • Keep the Kitchen Clean and Safe
  • Maintain the dish pit at the highest level of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation throughout every shift
  • Clean trash receptacles and manage waste removal to keep the kitchen and back-of-house areas orderly
  • Ensure work areas remain safe, clean, and compliant with all company, local, and state health and safety guidelines
  • Assist with light food prep as directed by the Chef team when needed
  • Be a Dependable Kitchen Team Member
  • Work as a reliable, fast-moving team member in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Operate under the direction of the Chef team and respond quickly to shifting priorities during service
  • Communicate any equipment issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to the Chef team promptly
