The Cook is at the heart of the restaurant operations. You will be preparing fresh and delicious food, problem solving and weighing-in with expertise on vibrant Mexican flavours. You'll have the opportunity to utilise fresh ingredients to produce high standard products for our new and regular guests. Prepare and cook food items according to GYG recipes and standards Assist in kitchen operations, including food prep and cooking Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely order fulfillment Handle and store ingredients and supplies properly Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils Assist in inventory management and stock rotation Respond to customer inquiries and special requests in a friendly, customer-focused manner Adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently Experience is helpful, but it's not everything. What we mean is: Kitchen experience is great but not essential Is open to coaching, eager to learn and ready to put in the effort 'Can do' attitude and can be relied upon
