About the role

Senior Systems Administrator On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a Senior Systems Administrator for a contract opportunity. This resource can be based in either Raleigh, NC or Dallas, TX. Senior Systems Administrator Job Details Carry out high to complex level tasks in administration of customer systems as assigned by team leader or manager. Provide leadership in the technologies / customer assigned. Provide expert support for one or more technologies or customers. Ensure that processes and tools are constantly improving to provide high quality and cost-effective service to customers. Work under limited direction from team leader or manager. Able to take care of technology / customer situations independently; Requires no assistance in troubleshooting complex technical issues in any of the areas above; Has full accountability for assigned deliverables; Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action ; Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to lower level team members Meet and exceed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and customer expectation in one or more areas from the following list and for customers as assigned by manager: Monitoring and Alerts Incidents Service Requests Change Requests Work Orders Patching Project Work Vulnerability Protection Security Operations Asset Management Tools / Reporting Problem / Risk Capacity / Availability / System Performance Engineering Governance through SOEs, Best Practices, Audit Schedules, and On-Board Acceptance Testing Checklist, etc.. Senior Systems Administrator Mandatory Skills Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent 8+ years of work experience in IT infrastructure Minimum 5 year Application and or Systems Administration experience in a 24 x 7 production environment Expert knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory and/or Microsoft Exchange Advanced knowledge of Windows PowerShell Advanced understanding of networking principles; routing, DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP Advanced knowledge of VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V Very good written and verbal communication skill Senior Systems Administrator Start Date ASAP Senior Systems Administrator Assignment Length 6 months + Extensions (Possible FTE) All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
