The Engineer role We're looking for a Engineer who sees the vessel as a whole, not just one piece. Someone who will be responsible for designing and supporting shipbuilding projects at one across of multiple engineering disciplines. We are looking for at least 2+ years of experience engineer with the background of: strength or stability calculations / structural / heating and ventilation systems / mechanical / navigation / outfitting (the onboard equipment for osv). You'll fit if you have a knowledge of the classification regulations, and you work the way of applicable quality and regulatory standards. You'll be responsible for creating technical documentation, supporting system design, and contributing to project execution under supervision of senior engineers. Key accountabilities Designing at (at least one of disciplined): structural, mechanical, electrical, automation, radio-navigation systems, onboard equipment, interiors of vessels Creating design solutions that address standard engineering procedures with moderate complexity from one of engineering fields, Ensuring compliance with classification rules, standards, and client requirements Participating in solving interdisciplinary engineering problems and optimizing solutions in terms of cost, functionality, safety, and compliance with classification regulations. Selecting equipment and preparing documentation for procurement processes Preparing and participating in tests (FAT, HAT, SAT) Coordinating with project teams, suppliers, and classification societies Providing technical support and ensuring consistency of solutions across disciplines Performing design calculations: class, mass, power and heat balances, stability and structural analyses (by the relevant experience on the specific discipline) Developing lists, registers, summaries, documents, and technical reports. If applicable creating and supervising 3D models of floating units: mechanical and electrical systems, technical spaces, stability and strength models.
