Unposting Date: 2026-06-29 11:59 PM Your role CBC New Brunswick is looking for a producer based in Saint John to lead the Information Morning radio program team. You will be responsible for what airs on morning radio - bringing fresh ideas, sharp editorial skills and a keen understanding of audio storytelling. This position leads a team of 4 people and reports to the Senior Producer. You believe in an inclusive approach to journalism. The show informs, entertains and speaks to the people of the Saint John Region. Your job is to enhance the connection and grow the audience by reaching underrepresented communities and more diverse and younger audiences. You are a team player and work well with others. You lead with compassion and empathy. CBC offers access to training, mentorship and career development over time to employees and there are also several Employee Resource Groups at CBC. This role requires full time on site presence. Key tasks: Lead the morning radio team in Saint John. Assign which stories will air on the morning radio show, guide their creation, and edit them before they air. Research, write and produce original story ideas that will engage and inform the audience. Deepen our community connections and elevate the voices of equity deserving groups. Occasionally present stories on-air, providing analysis and context to enhance the audience's understanding of issues. Respond quickly to breaking news events as they unfold. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and break stories, plan features and coordinate long-term coverage.
