The Senior BOA is focused on driving delivery in a complex squad or project environment by clarifying requirements, removing obstacles and facilitating workflow and helps ensure the promised outcomes are delivered. This role combines elements of business analysis, agile delivery leadership, project management, facilitation, and operational coordination. The individual is expected to go beyond traditional business analysis focused solely on documentation and requirements gathering, while also contributing more strategically than a facilitative-only Scrum Master or delivery-focused Project Manager. The successful candidate serves as a pragmatic leader who understands business strategy, organizational priorities, and strategic objectives. They are great communicators and work as bridges between the product owner, project managers, stakeholders and the squad. They facilitate the squad planning and retrospectives to ensure the squad is delivering reliably and is constantly improving. The squad does not report to them, and they must be the champions of building a self-managing team and not creating a single point of failure in themselves. They coordinate the work of more junior BOAs working with them as well as coaching and growing those BOAs. Major Job Accountabilities: Work with product owner and squad/project to groom and prepare the backlog into stories ready to be worked on Facilitate squad/project planning at an enterprise level Ensure squad/project follows the Atlas system of work Works closely with the portfolio team to support planning and updates Facilitates communication between all key squad stakeholders including dealing with challenging stakeholders in politicized environments Facilitates and champions squad/project delivery rituals (e.g. scrum ceremonies etc) Champions a self-managing team culture Facilitates workshops for clarifying problems, identifying solutions and driving aligned decision making in complex enterprise contexts and with challenging stakeholders Ensures decisions and key milestones are well documented Ensures squad/project artifacts are effective and well organized Documents process maps and value streams at a cross functional and enterprise level Able to research topics and produce white papers or decision papers to support decisions for complex enterprise problems Supports squad in developing and maintaining suitable delivery metrics Support Application Development Chapter Lead in implementing an engineering culture Support Portfolio Senior Director in implementing an adaptive human centric system of work Qualifications and Experience: Degree or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience as a business analyst, project manager, scrum master or product manager 3+ years' experience in an agile delivery culture Experience with ERPs or Enterprise Platforms as a product is a plus 1+ years' experience delivering applications within an automated CI/CD SDLC Airline or logistics experience an advantage but not essential
