Responsibilities
- Complete journal entries for the monthly close, including but not limited to Intangibles, Leases (ASC842), Inventory, Accruals
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Validate and/or prepare monthly account reconciliations to ensure an accurate balance sheet, including but not limited to Intangibles, Leases (ASC842), Inventory, Accruals, Accounts Receivable
- Review financial data for accuracy; identify problems and support day-to-day operations.
- Assist in ad-hoc reporting and projects
- Assists with annual external audits and tax filings
- Assist in identifying areas for process improvements including process automation and participate in the implementation of those improvements (including UAT)

Requirements
- University degree in Accounting
- Minimum 4 years of experience working in an Accounting role
- Preference for CPA or similar designation - 1 year post qualified at minimum, audit background desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong ability to manage & prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent excel skills and ability to learn new systems (experience with NetSuite and/or systems integration is an asset)
- Willingness to learn and contribute to the team
