About the role
As part of the chassis testing team of Applus+ IDIADA, the chassis tuning engineer will be covering the following tasks: a) Perform the technical activities related to evaluation, development and tuning of chassis systems or subsystems related to ride, handling, traction, braking and safety attributes. These activities include: -Performance target setting together with vehicle or subsystem manufacturer -Vehicle testing in open road or proving ground -Chassis tuning including passive and active systems to reach the desired performance levels - Technical program management b) Give support to Chassis testing product manager for drafting of technical proposal and quotations. -Engineering Degree of Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or Mechatronics. -Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics and automotive technology. -Minimum 5 years experience in chassis tuning: excellent knowledge of chassis subjective evaluation criteria and tuning methodology. Experience with Driving Simulator is an asset. -Willingness to perform test in proving ground, excellent driving skills and vehicle motion feedback. -Good communication skills, both verbal and written. -Ability to demonstrate and justify technical decisions. -Dynamic, proactive, self-motivated. -Willingness to global travel when required. - Pro-activity and Motivation to learn is a must. - English workable is an asset
