About the role
You will join the brand team as our first AI-native brandhire. Your job is to do real brand work - research, strategy, content,campaigns - using AI as your primary way of working, and to become the team'sin-house expert in AI. This is not a technical role, and no prior AI experienceis required . We will teach you everything on the job - and much of thelearning happens inside the tool itself. What matters is not what you alreadyknow, but how you learn. The outcome we measure is brand quality: sharpresearch, on-voice content, campaigns that work. AI is how you'll get therefaster and deeper than a traditional junior hire could. You will work across the brands in the Urban Haircareportfolio. You will start with our Singapore market - where you can see salons,stylists, and customers up close - and grow into regional and global brand workas you demonstrate readiness.
Responsibilities
- Phase 1 - Learn the ground (first 6-12 months, Singaporefocus)
- Your work follows a deliberate arc: research first,strategize with the team, then execute under supervision.
- Research. Use AI to research markets, competitors, salon trends, consumer behavior, and platform changes - and turn that research into briefs the team can act on. You'll learn to verify, question, and edit AI output, not just accept it.
- Strategize and plan with the team. Bring your research into planning sessions. Contribute to campaign plans, content calendars, and channel strategy alongside the team. You won't strategize alone yet - you'll learn how we think by thinking with us.
- Execute under supervision. Produce social content and campaign assets for the portfolio brands, working under the Brand Lead's direction. Every piece you produce is drafted with AI, then shaped by your own editorial judgment, then reviewed before it ships.
- Master our AI systems. Learn the brand knowledge bases, skills, and prompt workflows we've already built. Maintain them, improve them, and document what you learn so the whole team benefits.
- Phase 2 - Earn wider scope
- As your judgment and output quality prove out, your exposuregrows: regional campaigns, global brand work, and more independent ownership ofstrategy. The ceiling of this role is set by your performance, not your jobtitle.
- How You Will Work
- You report to the Founder and Brand Lead, who supervises your day-to-day execution.
- AI is your primary working tool. We will train you on our setup and our way of working from the ground up - you start as a learner, with full support from the team, and grow into the person the team comes to with AI questions. We expect that growth to take months, not days.
- We care about taste. AI can produce volume; your job is to ensure everything that leaves your desk meets our standard for precision, honesty, and craft.
- Who We Are Looking For
- A fresh graduate (or early-career candidate) with strong written English and genuine editorial judgment - you notice when a sentence is almost right but not quite.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn. No AI experience is needed - we will train you fully, and you'll learn most of it by doing the work itself. What we can't teach is the appetite to ask questions, experiment, and figure things out.
- Aesthetic sensitivity. You have a point of view on what looks and reads premium, and you can articulate why.
- Sense of Beauty - a sense to appreciate beauty and art.
- Humility to learn an established way of working before proposing changes to it - and the initiative to propose them once you understand it.
- Integrity. We build trust through substance, and that starts inside the team.
- Written Chinese is a bonus, not a requirement.
