Senior Software Engineer - 3D Mapping Pipelines

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of industry experience building production software systems, data pipelines, distributed workflows, or large-scale automation systems.
• Strong C++ programming skills with solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
• You can identify and balance different performance bottlenecks, e.g. IO, CPU, GPU, memory transfer, etc.
• Basic knowledge of 3D geometry and matrix operations.

Additional Information

The 3D Mapping team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help develop scalable, performant, and reliable data pipelines that produce 3D map products for Zoox's autonomous vehicle fleet. This team works with petabytes of data and ships centimeter-accurate 3D maps across several major U.S. cities. This is a broad software engineering role and does not require a specific mapping background beyond basic knowledge of 3D geometry and math.
