About the role
Provide psychosocial assessments for patient and their families. Provide individual and family therapy, cognitive supportive therapy and crisis intervention services. Triage services for further mental health interventions may be recommended and coordinated by this worker. The primary treatment group will include patients, families and/or their caregivers. This position will serve as a liaison between the department of Psychiatry and other medical specialties to allow for continuity of care. Education: Master's degree in Social Work or related field required. Experience in Family, Individual, Group, and Play therapy required. Hospital experience preferred. Pediatric experience required. Child growth and development education required. Certification/Licensure: Licensed by State of Texas: LCSW or LPC. C.P.R. and CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or must be completed within 60 days of start date.
