About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Commercial Business Development lead to drive revenue growth for Process Automation solution. This role will focus on expanding market awareness, influencing key decision-makers, and driving adoption among EPC's, OEMs, and industrial end-users with the ultimate kpi of increasing sales growth in DCS, PLC, IoT, Digital, Cybersecurity, Softwares. Sales & Revenue Growth - Direct Selling o Drive commercial success through consultative and prescriptive selling techniques. o Identify, qualify, and nurture high-potential business opportunities, including pilot projects, proof-of-concept (PoC) implementations, and full-scale rollout of Offer. o Collaborate with channel partners, system integrators, and EPC firms to develop joint go-to-market strategies. o Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, and long-term agreements to maximize revenue potential. - Market Development & Strategy Execution o Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy that positions Next Gen Automation as a disruptive open automation platform. o Align business development initiatives with global trends in industrial automation, Industry 4.0, and software-driven control systems. o Analyze customer pain points, competitor offerings, and emerging market trends to refine the value proposition and influence OEM's, System Integrators and End Users to adopt Next Gen Automation platform. - Stakeholder Engagement, Influence & Prescription o Develop and maintain strong relationships with engineering, operations, IT, and executive decision-makers to promote Next Gen Automation adoption at the customer. o Engage with C-level executives, plant managers, automation engineers, and IT-OT leaders to drive digital transformation initiatives. o Collaborate internally with lines of business, offer managers and other stakeholders to ensure the growth of Next Gen Automation. o Build a network of early adopters, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and reference customers to advocate for Next Gen Automation within the industry. o Support System Integrators and consultants to integrate Next Gen Automation into their project specifications. o Be the voice of the customer internally and to the LOB to influence roadmaps and provide market insights that will help grow Next Gen Automation faster. o Segment Focus: Collaborate with segment teams to identify and penetrate strategic sub-segments and applications for Next Gen Automation. - Cross-functional Collaboration & Leadership o Work closely with Next Gen Automation COE (Center of excellence), product management, marketing, and customer success teams to align solutions with market needs. o Provide direct customer feedback to product development teams to enhance Next Gen Automation features, usability, and scalability. o Coordinate with Proposals, pre-sales specialists, solution specialists, and application specialists to develop and present tailored automation solutions to the customer using Next Gen Automation. o Be the subject matter expert on Next Gen Automation to the customer. This role requires a strategic thinker who can work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a matrix organization. The successful candidate will be recognized as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to both internal teams and external customers and partners as they implement Next Gen Automation. Having an in-depth knowledge of how Industrial segments and their associated applications work is key to this role. (WWW, MMM, CPG, E&C, Infrastructure, C&SP is advantageous. Key qualifications include: - Experience in launching and scaling new products, offers, and solutions. - The ability to develop and execute impactful business development strategies that drive growth. - Strong commercial acumen, communication, and stakeholder management skills, from the shop floor to the C-suite. - Bachelor' degree in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in consultative, technical solution sales - Essential to this role - A deep understanding of Industrial Automation and applications - Essential to this role o Experience with industrial control systems (ICS), PLC/SCADA, DCS, edge computing. - Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions. - Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
