About the role

This position is located in the Division of Risk Management and Audit Liaison (RMAL), Office of Management Assessment (OMA), Office of Management (OM), Office of the Director (OD). The incumbent will provide senior level programmatic and analytical support to the RMAL Director as well as to NIH, DHHS, and Operating Division (OPDIV) officials, to include providing leadership, advice, and guidance on the integrity of key NIH-wide activities risk management and internal controls. You qualify at the GS-14 level, if you meet the following qualification requirements: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: 1) Developing and managing risk management and internal control programs; 2) Applying a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems; 3) Providing guidance and interpretation of policies, regulations, and emerging legislation regarding programs; 4) Applying risk management techniques to assess operations and identify deficiencies, develops background data, proposes solutions, and drafts guidelines and procedures for corrective action.
