About the role

As a Behavior Technician, you will work directly with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, helping them develop essential social, behavioral, and daily living skills. Using a playful and positive approach, you will implement evidence-based treatment plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to support each child's growth and success in the classroom and community. Behavior Technicians play a vital role in shaping our clients' lives. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Working one-on-one with clients to collect data on skill acquisition and behavioral progress, all recorded digitally on iPads. Reducing behavioral excesses by following structured treatment plans. Regularly communicating with supervisors and team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients. During downtime, you will also be responsible for preforming janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, disinfecting toys and surfaces, dishwashing, trash disposal, stocking restrooms and kitchens, etc. Why Work with Us? Our Treatment Center operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, ensuring you maintain a healthy work-life balance. Requirements/Qualifications: We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic about making a difference in children's lives and meet the following qualifications: Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent is required; college coursework in ABA, psychology, child development, or related fields is a plus. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use an Apple iPad daily for data tracking and communication. Availability: A minimum of 16 hours per week, available in four-hour blocks, within our operating hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM). Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting. Health Requirements: Candidates must be able to provide the required health clearances and immunization documentation in accordance with California guidelines. This includes proof of TB test clearance (within the last 18 months) as well as verification of required vaccinations such as MMR and Varicella.
