The Ground Transportation Director is responsible for overseeing and facilitating the workflow, technology, and daily operations of the NCAA Ground Transportation program. They will have end-to-end ownership of the program's progress throughout the year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports, transportation, and event management, provide outstanding customer service, and be an enthusiastic professional. The director will be critical in creating outstanding relationships with the NCAA, the Ground Transportation Team, and our motorcoach vendors. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as the primary super user and administrator for the Championship Ground technology platform. Provide first-line user support, troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and escalating technical needs as appropriate. Continuously drive program enhancements by identifying and implementing technological advancements and improvements. Provides leadership and oversight to the NCAA Ground Transportation team, fostering professional development while ensuring strong administrative and organizational support. Oversees cost management and contractual strategy, applying creative solutions to reduce expenses, mitigate risk, and maximize value. Manage and facilitate program workflows with strict timelines. Provides strategic project and portfolio management oversight, applying PMO best practices to drive cross-functional alignment, accountability, and on-time delivery. Build strong relationships and work closely with all partners related to the program, including but not limited to the NCAA, professional bus organizations, and vendors. Work with other Anthony Travel/On Location staff to develop measures to ensure success and resolve issues. Takes initiative to identify solutions to solve process or business problems. Perform situation analysis and decision-making. Implement operational efficiencies, including evaluating current processes for continued improvement. Develop, propose, and present ideas related to the specific transportation needs for NCAA championship events. Travel Must be adaptable with work and travel schedule, and be available to travel for work, which may include extended work hours during nights, weekends, and holidays. This position will require less than 10% travel.
