- Previous work experience in a small works or institutional environment
- Ability to read and interpret building specifications and blueprints.
- Mathematical skills and analytical skills.
- Ability to use cost-estimating software to prepare cost quotes and bids.
- Ability to demonstrate organizational, time-management and decision-making skills.
- Ability to assume responsibility and to lead and communicate effectively with others, have strong interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.
- Ability to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlines.

WHAT'S THE JOB? This position is a key member of the Dexterra Group business and reports directly to the Operations Team Lead. The Manager Estimation/Pricing leads a team environment that develops estimates for various projects throughout Canada for the Integrated Facilities support team. They work closely with Trade specific leads to price reactive, project and Capex replacement projects. This position works with key individuals on both the client and operations group. The Manager Estimation/Pricing is responsible for the accurate, timely preparation of full-cost estimates, including labour, materials, transportation, and 3rd party subcontracting. The Manager Estimation/Pricing also assists with our historical cost analysis, establishing unit rates, risk management and other related activities. Estimating accuracy is critical to the profitability of the business, as under-estimates may cause significant financial losses and over-estimates may result in the inability to win contracts.
