About the role
Come join our mission-critical technology team and help build the most efficient rural distribution network on the African continent. Our technology is essential for empowering millions of smallholder farmers to increase their prosperity. You will be a key member of the Retail & Sales Team, focused on developing and maintaining our core Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform, Odoo. This system is the technological backbone for our field operations, managing everything from registering farmers and their orders to optimizing logistics, tracking inventory, and collecting mobile payments across multiple countries.
Responsibilities

- Confirm that the software is deployed successfully
- Software Quality Assurance
- Move work forward independently once it has been assigned
- Own the quality of work deliverables
- Adhere to appropriate quality processes
- Solve problems mostly independently, with the ability to evaluate multiple options
- Review work performed by other engineers (code reviews, etc.)
- Suggest and implement improvements to work packages and work processes
- Assist other engineers in solving problems
- Software Documentation
- Create documentation describing work performed
- Troubleshooting Production Issues
- Communicate clearly and frequently with stakeholders
- Communicate across teams about issues
- Resolve issues with a sense of urgency

Requirements
- Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for . For this role specifically, you will have:
- 3+ years of development experience with a moderate level of autonomy
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Odoo ERP development, including Python, PostgreSQL, XML/QWeb, OWL, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of the Odoo framework, ORM, and module architecture.
- Comfortable with one or more database engines (Postgres, MongoDB, Couchbase)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration
- Experience working in Agile
