About the role

Wellington Management offers comprehensive investment management capabilities that span nearly all segments of the global capital markets. Our investment solutions, tailored to the unique return and risk objectives of institutional clients in more than 60 countries, draw on a robust body of proprietary research and a collaborative culture that encourages independent thought and healthy debate. As a private partnership, we believe our ownership structure fosters a long-term view that aligns our perspectives with those of our clients. ROLE OVERVIEW The Investment Treasury Portfolio Analyst, based in Singapore, will work closely with Portfolio Management and Trading and help manage the firm's liquidity, funding, currency exposures, collateral, and related financing across Wellington portfolios. The role is part of the Investment Platform within the Investment Implementation and Trading department and acts as a bridge across investment teams, trading, operations, and client-facing partners. This is an opportunity for a motivated, analytically strong candidate to help strengthen regional resilience, support time-zone liquidity management, and contribute to a more scalable global Investment Treasury platform. The successful candidate will combine sound judgment, market interest, stakeholder communication, and a strong entrepreneurial spirit to build a center of excellence in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibilities include:
  • Managing and rebalancing portfolio currency exposures in response to cash flows, active trades, benchmark changes, market movements, and changes in client guidelines.
  • Supporting APAC and London time-zone liquidity management, including daily cash positioning, funding decisions, and timely escalation of liquidity or overdraft matters.
  • Managing regional repo activity and related financing workflows, including coordination with risk takers, trading, and global stakeholders to support portfolio funding, collateral usage, and liquidity objectives
  • Monitoring portfolio positions, exposures, and key market sensitivities to ensure activity remains consistent with client guidelines, investment objectives, and risk expectations
  • Partnering with Portfolio Management, Trading, Operations, and client-facing teams to resolve portfolio issues, coordinate across regions, and communicate clearly in time-sensitive situations
  • Developing tools, analytics, and scalable workflows that improve transparency, reduce operational risk, and support the growth of the Investment Treasury platform

Requirements

  • The strongest candidate for this position is likely to have:
  • Approximately 3-5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in investment management, trading, portfolio analysis, trade coordination, client transition, cash management, or a related capital markets role;
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and comfort working with data to identify issues, explain outcomes, and improve decisions;
  • Demonstrated interest in capital markets, with exposure to fixed income, foreign exchange, derivatives, liquidity management, or related investment workflows viewed favorably;
  • Sound judgment, risk awareness, and the ability to operate effectively under time pressure, including knowing when to solve independently and when to escalate;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex portfolio, liquidity, or risk topics into clear messages for investment, operational, and client-facing stakeholders;
  • A self-starter mindset, comfort with ambiguity, and a desire to improve processes, build scalable solutions, and contribute to a collaborative global team;
  • Experience with Python, SQL, or other coding tools would be valuable, particularly for candidates interested in automation, analytics, and building scalable workflows;
  • Fluency in English required; ability to work effectively across APAC and global time zones is important.
