- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, containerisation and infrastructure as code
- Experience building self-service tooling, templates and developer enablement capabilities
- Experience with monitoring and observability
- Good understanding of security best practices in software delivery and platform design
- Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor others and influence adoption of engineering best practices

Job Description What we're looking for We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help design, build and evolve the internal platforms and shared engineering tools that support software delivery across AJ Bell Technology Services. This role is focused on improving Developer Experience and enabling product teams to deliver high-quality software quickly, safely and at scale and increasing the pace of change across engineering. You'll work across platform capabilities, shared tooling and engineering enablement, combining strong technical expertise with a collaborative, practical approach. As a senior member of the team, you'll contribute to the design, development and ongoing improvement of platform solutions, provide technical guidance to engineering teams, support adoption of platform capabilities, and mentor other Platform Engineers.
