The CT Technologist works under the supervision of the Radiology Manager: Schedules CT examinations; receives and reviews patient requisitions; positions patients for CT imaging; administers I.V. contrast media; performs computed tomography imaging examinations; discharges patients; performs miscellaneous related duties; performs the Radiology Assistant's duties when needed; performs other duties as assigned. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and service appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her area. Required Education: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or tech-school. 1 year experience as a Radiology Technician. Registration/Certification or License Required: Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider Certification (or completed within 60 days of hire). Completed ARRT requirements as evident by current/active ARRT status. Completion of the AART's Computer Tomography Clinical experience requirements to obtain CT Certification if not already CT certified through AART. Employment Type: Part time, limited hours Shift: Varied Weekly Scheduled Hours: 12
