About the role

The Head of Finance Transformation & Strategic Projects will act as a catalyst for change across the Group Finance and Accounting organization. Reporting directly to the Group Accounting Director, the role is responsible for driving finance transformation initiatives, modernizing accounting processes through automation and AI-enabled solutions, and supporting strategic priorities across the Group. This position plays a critical role in integration projects, ensuring harmonization of finance processes, systems, controls, and reporting standards across entities. Key Responsibilities Finance Transformation Leadership Own and drive the Finance Transformation roadmap across the Group, with a strong focus on digitalization, automation, and AI-enabled finance processes. Design and maintain the Finance Target Operating Model aligned with the company's growth strategy and integration objectives. Lead process harmonization, simplification, and standardization initiatives across Group Accounting and Finance functions. Act as the process owner for core Group Accounting processes, ensuring consistency, scalability, efficiency, and control. Identify opportunities to improve reporting quality, operational efficiency, and decision-making through technology and data optimization. Support the modernization of ERP, consolidation, and reporting environments. Change Management & Integration Act as a strong change agent within the Finance organization, promoting transformation initiatives and ensuring stakeholder alignment. Play a key role during integration phases following mergers and acquisitions, supporting finance integration, process alignment, and governance implementation. Facilitate adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working across local and Group teams. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to ensure successful implementation and sustainable change. Strategic Projects & Governance Lead and coordinate strategic ad-hoc projects sponsored by the Group Accounting Director or CFO. Ensure projects are aligned with the Finance Target Operating Model and transformation roadmap. Establish project governance structures, milestones, risk management, and reporting mechanisms. Provide structured support for stakeholder requests related to finance transformation, reporting, integration, and process improvement initiatives. Internal Control & Continuous Improvement Support the strengthening of internal control frameworks through process standardization and automation. Contribute to the enhancement of governance, compliance, and finance operating procedures. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the finance organization. Key Accountabilities Delivery of the multi-year Finance Transformation roadmap. Harmonization and standardization of finance and accounting processes across the Group. Successful execution of integration projects following M&A activities. Improvement in finance process efficiency, automation, and reporting quality. Sustainable adoption of new tools, processes, and governance models. Transparent tracking and communication of transformation benefits and KPIs. 5-10 years of experience in Finance Transformation, Group Accounting, Consulting, Audit, or Strategic Finance Projects. Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes within an international environment. Experience in transformation programs, ERP implementations, process optimization, or post-M&A integrations. Exposure to automation, digital finance tools, and AI applications in Finance is highly desirable. Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and drive organizational change. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership capabilities. Hands-on, solution-oriented, and able to operate in dynamic environments.
