About the role

From our European Head office in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, you will a member of eCommerce department. We are seeking an individual with a strong interest in all things digital commerce. The E-commerce Intern will provide assistance to the E-commerce Team and primarily assist the E-commerce Content & Merchandising Specialist and the Digital Key-Account Manager. The digital accounts this internship will assist on are our own D2C site, Zalando and other Marketplaces. They will provide support through various marketing and content enhancing tasks, as well as focus on improving the onsite consumer experience. Onsite merchandising, setting up the product catalog, inventory management in SAP, website checks, updating digital marketing assets, as well as providing general support to the E-commerce Team when necessary are a few of the tasks of this internship. We're looking for students who have a strong passion for: creating their own opportunities, seeking innovative solutions, and caring for the world around them. Having a diverse background and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, innovative environment is a plus. You will be: Improving the consumer's onsite experience Merchandising the product grid (manually and through algorithms) Assisting in creating content and optimizing product detail pages Identifying and remedying onsite listing errors to improve conversion Maintaining and updating collection pages Supporting in proofreading and testing of landing pages Assisting in Newsletter Marketing Regular tracking of sales performance, stock, campaigns and onsite behavior Developing and publishing blog content Backing up across the broader ecommerce team where needed The ideal candidate: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree. The applicant must be currently enrolled for entire duration of internship. Preferably studies and education that is related to Merchandising/Digital/Business or Marketing Is able to commit to 40 hours per week, ideally working 5 days a week, with availability to commute to the office 4 days per week Is passionate about the outdoors and/or sports. Has great knowledge of Office programs. Strong Excel skills are a plus. Is fluent in English (written and spoken), German language is a plus. Has interest in digital commerce. Is curious, self-motivated and a quick learner. Has a high level of organization, communication, and multi-tasking skills. You are organized, detail oriented and meet deadlines.
