Job Title: Social Worker - Assessment Team Location: Hull Pay Rate: £35 per hour Job Description: Liquid Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join it client's Assessment Service Team located at Hull. This role involves managing a dynamic caseload of children and families requiring initial assessments, as well as participating in the duty cycle for new referrals into the service. The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding children and ensuring timely, high-quality assessments that inform effective planning and intervention. What will your responsibilities be? Undertake timely and comprehensive assessments of children and families in line with statutory requirements and local procedures. Be part of the duty rota, responding to new referrals and allocating cases appropriately within the team. Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns, ensuring that children are protected from harm and risk is effectively managed. Liaise with professionals from health, education, police, and other agencies to gather information and coordinate support. Maintain accurate, up-to-date case notes and reports using the council's case management system. Ensure the voice of the child is central to all assessments and planning, promoting their welfare and best interests. Work in accordance with the Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and Hull City Council's policies and procedures. Contribute to team meetings, supervision, and reflective practice sessions to support continuous improvement.
