Join us in making a difference The Marketing Strategy and Intelligence team at trivago is a unique blend of data and business expertise, steering key marketing decisions through impactful data products, actionable insights, and deep market understanding. We're now establishing a Marketing Growth and Experimentation team to embed experimentation at scale across the organization-designed to create a flywheel of discovering and exploiting new business opportunities, from new marketing channels to cross-vertical initiatives and beyond. As the Marketing Growth and Experimentation Lead, you will set the vision, operating model, and roadmap for a multidisciplinary team focused on opportunity pipeline, experimentation, and validation. You'll partner with Brand and Performance Marketing, Product, and Finance to identify and test new marketing channels and tactics, turning promising ideas into validated initiatives that accelerate pipeline, revenue, and brand impact. You will work directly with senior business leaders across the organization to unlock growth through a rigorous discovery-to-validation pipeline. Together with your team, you will establish experimentation and measurement frameworks; run pilots, A/B tests, geo lifts, and business-case-driven experiments; define success metrics and guardrails; and hand over validated opportunities to the right owners for scale. You'll align closely with the Marketing Science and Operations team on measurement and learning so every experiment is grounded in robust data and clear outcomes. Get an inside look at data science at trivago: How you'll make an impact: Recruit, mentor, and develop a diverse, high-performing growth and experimentation team; cultivate a culture of curiosity, testing, and learning. Define and run the opportunity pipeline: source new ideas and maintain a clear roadmap from discovery to validation. Develop robust business cases for new opportunities to secure investment and guide go/no-go decisions. Lead marketing forecasting and controlling processes Design and run experiments and pilots with clear success metrics, guardrails, and decision criteria. Measure and validate opportunities with data and business cases; hand over validated initiatives to Brand and Performance Marketing or Product for execution and scaling; document learnings and share across the organization. Partner with Brand, Performance Marketing, Product, and (as needed) Finance on capacity, budget, and roadmap so experiments are resourced and aligned with business priorities. Remove friction from the test-and-learn process: simplify governance, timelines, and handoffs so the organization can move from idea to validated opportunity quickly. Translate experiment results and opportunity pipeline status into clear narratives for senior executives; influence decisions on where to invest in new channels and tactics. What you'll need to thrive: 8+ years of experience in growth marketing, marketing strategy, or experimentation, including 3+ years leading multi-disciplinary teams. Proven track record finding and validating new marketing channels and tactics through pilots, A/B tests, and business cases that led to scaled investment. Strong business acumen; ability to connect experiments to revenue and margin impact. Strong experimentation and prioritization skills; comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced test-and-learn environments. Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication; able to present pipeline and results clearly and drive cross-functional alignment. People leadership experience: hiring, coaching, and performance-managing analysts, growth marketers, and experimentation talent. Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Stand out with: Experience in the travel, e-commerce, or digital marketing industry Experience or strong interest in AI transformation (e.g., AI-powered experimentation, personalization, or marketing innovation).
