Location: Tillsonburg, ON Fleetwood Metal Industries a division of Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a Quality Engineer in the Tillsonburg, Ontario cold stamp facility. The Quality Engineer is responsible for analyzing all stages of the manufacturing system to maximize the quality of the products being produced. The ideal candidate will have prior knowledge of prevention planning and the correction of non-conformances, be self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities: Provides engineering and technical support for current products and new product launches Interfaces with customer quality representatives concerning quality problems and assures that effective corrective action is implemented Interprets customer specifications and requirements Applies and maintains quality operating system requirements and standards Maintains good internal and external supplier quality levels Serves as primary quality resource for problem identification, resolution and continuous improvement Designs and implements methods for process improvement, testing and inspection Develops and analyses quality metrics COPQ & IPPM Ability to log into corporate supplier portal and access and navigate applicable customer portals Participates in supplier development and monitoring activities Participates in audits, including determining proper corrective and preventative actions Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, Human Resources policies, and the Employee Handbook Develop, implement and participate in training to build quality awareness Other duties and responsibilities as required
