Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a variety of survey instruments, including GPS, Trimble total stations, and data collectors.
- Collect accurate field data for boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
- Set up, operate, and adjust instruments under the direction of the Survey Party Chief.
- Record and check field notes, measurements, and other documentation.
- Assist in establishing horizontal and vertical control points.
- Adhere to company safety policies and field procedures.
- Support efficient project completion by maintaining communication with the Survey Party Chief and office staff.
Requirements
- Candidates must have a high school diploma/GED.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail.
- Current valid driver's license and ability to be insured to drive company vehicles is required.
- Travel to and stay at project locations in multiple states on rare occasions.
- During site visits, must be able to walk, lift, carry, stoop, bend, twist and work outdoors on uneven surfaces routinely. Site visits may include exposure to weather extremes and rough or uneven terrain.
- Applicable survey experience preferred but not required.
