JOB SUMMARY As a Laundry Driver at Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW), This person is responsible for collecting and delivering clothing to hotels that provide this service. This may combine driving light vehicles as well as cargo vehicles with customer service. You will add to the success of the MVW team by maintaining high standards and providing the best service. You will need to have a flexible schedule, communicate clearly with coworkers and guests, and follow the company's rules in all situations. This position may require a background check and/or drug screen contingent on company policy and state and local requirements. Specific job duties may differ by property, size of team, or facility. Work Schedules - Ability to handle complaints in conjunction with service staff to prevent further complications. Ability to express oneself respectfully Education, Certification, or Licenses Preferred - Basic secondary education or equivalent Competencies - Personal Attributes: Excellent customer service attitude Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication with a focus on customer service Organization: Multi Communications ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Policies and Procedures Respect entry and exit times Use the facilities properly Use the assigned operating equipment properly Apply MVW policies and procedures (Job Specific Duties) Collection and Delivery: Transporting garments, linens, uniforms and tablecloths between branches (Hotels) and the Laundry. Customer service: Handing and receiving garments, answering customer questions, and managing payments and collections. Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting vehicle inspections, securing it is functioning properly, and immediately reporting any issues to the supervisor for service. Loading and Unloading: Loading clean or soiled laundry in bundles for transport to the washing process or delivering clean laundry to the distribution center. Inspecting all garments and reclassifying them by type for the washing process. Recording any discrepancies found during counts and verifications to be included in the Dirty and Clean linens report. Assisting with the washing and folding of linens as needed. Ensures all lines are counted and reconciled in the report to prevent discrepancies. Ensures timely delivery of linens to each service center. Participates in linen inventories at Westin in Transito with Hotels service. Assists with laundry processes during the off season. Working with Others: Teamwork and integration with service provider.
