SAP FICO Consultant

Responsibilities

• SAP FI/CO/PS Expertise: Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP FI/CO/PS modules, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving continuous improvement.
• Cross-Functional Support: Provide support for other cross-functional modules as required.
• Consultation and User Engagement: Offer expert consultation to business users, understanding their needs, and translating them into effective SAP solutions. Regularly train key users and communicate system changes.
• System Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements within SAP, collaborating with the ERP team to implement and communicate changes. Recognize and address systematic errors.
• Project Leadership: Support and lead sub-projects within SAP initiatives across multiple sites. Ensure effective communication and education for end-users and key users during project rollouts.
• Application Maintenance: Handle both application maintenance and project-related tasks, ensuring the SAP environment is stable and up-to-date.
• Integrated Applications Support: Support other applications integrated with SAP, such as AP Tool, Expense Claim Tool, Tax Add-on, and others.
• Reporting and Documentation: Report on SAP system performance, including the impact of change requests, improvements, and general progress. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP processes and integrations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the global ERP team to harmonize work methods, exchange best practices, and ensure a consistent approach to SAP support.
• Work experience
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in SAP, with a focus on FI/CO/PS modules.
• Experience with both project and application maintenance roles.
• Familiarity with other cross-functional modules is nice to have.
• Technical Skills
• Extensive experience in full-cycle SAP implementation projects.
• Knowledge of ITIL and debugging in ABAP is a plus.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
• Soft Skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear consultation to business users.
• Ability to work well in a lean team environment and lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Analytical Skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions based on data and user feedback.

• Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and implement process improvements and adapt to organizational changes.
• Certifications
• We value experience over certifications, though relevant certifications are good to have as an asset.

Additional Information

Job Objectives/Summary: Primary support for FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), and PS (Project Systems) modules. Primary support for the company's Tax Add-on solution. Provide system functionality, application consultancy, configuration, and implementation of enhancement request on SAP FI/CO/PS related matters. Acting as secondary support for other cross-functional SAP modules as needed. Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues and incidents related to SAP systems; and performing root cause analysis, problem resolution, and documentation. Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, standards, and guidelines for SAP FICO / PS modules. Provide technical support and guidance to other IT teams, business users, and external vendors on SAP related matters.
