About the role
This position is located in the Office of Finance and Operations, Office of Human Resources, Strategic Workforce and Talent Solutions Division (SWTSD). Specialized Experience for the GS-14 One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-13 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments: 1. Experience managing human resources projects or initiatives within a federal HR environment, including developing plans, establishing timelines, coordinating resources, and monitoring progress to ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with OPM regulations, agency policy and applicable legal authorities. 2. Experience serving as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact for HR project work, advising managers, and stakeholders on project status, HR policy implications, and operational impacts of proposed changes to human resources programs or processes. 3. Experience analyzing workforce data, HR metrics, or program performance indicators to assess project outcomes, identify gaps, and develop recommendations that support strategic HR goals and organizational mission requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs). Ability to support the coordination of HR projects by tracking action items, maintaining project schedules, preparing status updates, and ensuring documentation is organized and accessible to project team members and stakeholders. 3. Skill in using project management or productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, SharePoint, or equivalent platforms) to assist with scheduling, task tracking, and reporting on project milestones and deliverables. 4. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both orally and in writing including, drafting project related correspondence, standard operating procedures, briefing materials, and stakeholder notifications in support of HR program initiatives. 5. Ability to work collaboratively with HR specialists, program managers, and other internal stakeholders to support the execution of HR projects, gather required information, document meeting outcomes, and follow up on assigned tasks to maintain project momentum.
