The primary responsibility NRI Internal Sales Associate is to partner with NRI external sales team to identify, prospect, nurture grow and close opportunities to sell industry leading Nuveen retirement products to retirement plan advisors & intermediaries, including but not limited to: financial advisors, retirement consultants, and 401k recordkeeping wholesalers. This is a high impact role - Ideal candidates are ambitious, self-starting, analytical, and career driven professionals who want a longer-term path to external sales, or strategic client relationship management, or opportunities which may span across Nuveen's global public-to-private investment teams. Key Responsibilities and Duties Partner with NRI external sales team to drive NRI asset growth within a defined sales territory Proactively engage with retirement plan advisors, consultants, and 401k recordkeeping wholesalers to best serve their clients' goals - dually identifying, prospecting, nurturing to grow opportunities to position & sell Nuveen retirement products Apply discipline to gather & maintain high quality, accurate CRM (Salesforce) prospect/ client pipeline data Coordinate with NRI external sales team to prepare for client meetings & promptly follow through on post meeting activities, including but not limited to: managing calendars & meeting invites, managing meeting logistics, coordinating meeting materials, preparing RFI/RFPs, supporting due diligence activities Support NRI external sales team to develop, refine, and execute sales territory plans Stay sharp on industry trends, competitor positioning, market flows & relevant developments to identify new opportunities and adapt territory sales execution accordingly Consistently deploy sales toolkits, advisor reports & analytics, value add programs to maximize value to prospects / clients Collaborate with NRI Internal Sales Associates, Internal Sales Desk Manager, and broader NRI team to share best practices, coach & enable continuous "leveling-up" high performance across all NRI sales territories Educational Requirements University (Degree) Preferred Work Experience 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred FINRA Registrations SRC Indicator: Series 7; Series 63 Physical Requirements Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work Career Level 6IC Required Qualifications 2+ years experience in internal sales, or supporting external wholesaler, or related domains which make yo u keenly familiar with target date funds & DC retirement investment products FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 * Who You Are | Qualifications : 5+ years experience in internal sales, or supporting external wholesaler, or related domains which make yo u keenly familiar with target date funds & DC retirement investment products State & non-resident Life & Healt h insurance license * S trong understanding & able to confident ly discu ss markets, products & performance, portfolio construction Strong presentation skills - Ex cellent verbal & written communication Accountable , resilient, goal oriented with strong track record to independently execute , balanced with team-first mindset Potential for occasional travel Related Skills Business Development, Client Relationship Management, Influence, Market Research Competitive Analysis, Nuveen Products/Services Acumen, Practice Management Strategy, Relationship Management, Retirement Planning Selling, Sales, Strategic Planning Anticipated Posting End Date: 2026-06-05 Base Pay Range: $60,000/yr - $90,000/yr Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
