Project Engineer (Mechanical)

About the role

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the Project Manager / Construction Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising mechanical works on site. Coordinate mechanical services including ACMV, chilled water system, ventilation, plumbing and sanitary systems, fire protection, fuel systems, and other related M&E works. Review construction drawings, technical submissions, method statements, material submissions, and shop drawings. Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, schedule, and quality requirements. Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades to resolve technical and site coordination issues. Attend site meetings, coordination meetings, and technical discussions. Prepare progress reports, site records, inspection requests, and relevant project documentation. Assist in material planning, procurement follow-up, and delivery coordination to support construction schedule. Ensure all mechanical works comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Assist in managing subcontractors' work progress, quality, and manpower deployment. Identify potential site issues or delays and highlight to the project team for timely resolution. Support the handover process, including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and close-out documentation. JOBREQUIREMENTS Minimum Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent At least 2 years relevant experience in construction, M&E, building services, Good knowledge of mechanical systems such as ACMV, chilled water, ventilation, plumbing, sanitary, and fire protection systems. Able to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Ability to interact effectively with project teams and managers at all levels.
