Policy Analyst Health Services and Treatments Policy

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine policy - Draft and improve policy advice, legislation, and guidance to ensure clarity, quality, and alignment with organisational priorities
• Collaborate for impact - Work across teams and with stakeholders to support delivery of key initiatives and build strong, effective relationships
• Support planning and delivery - Contribute to project planning, coordination, and tracking to ensure work is delivered on time and to a high standard
• Strengthen quality and insights - Review work, provide feedback, and support monitoring and evaluation to drive continuous improvement
• Enable better outcomes - Provide practical policy input, identify efficiencies, and ensure all work reflects equity priorities and Te Tiriti obligations

• Relevant expertise -Tertiary qualification in health (or related field) and/or equivalent practical experience, with a strong understanding of social policy
• Planning and delivery capability - Experience designing work programmes and managing projects to deliver on time, within budget, and to a high standard
• Analytical and judgement skills -Proven ability to apply critical thinking, use sound judgement, and develop well-reasoned policy advice and options
• Communication and relationship strength - Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and tailor complex information effectively
