As a Health Policy & Governance Lead, you will shape how we manage employee health and absenteeism in the Netherlands. This role has direct impact on business performance, compliance, and employee experience. As a Health Policy & Governance Lead, you will design and improve health policies that support a growing, complex organization while ensuring alignment with Dutch legislation. You bring both policy expertise and the ability to translate it into practical, executable solutions. Role and responsibilities As a Health Policy & Governance Lead, you will own the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health-related policies. You will operate in a complex environment, ensuring alignment between legal requirements, business needs, and operational execution. Develop and continuously improve health and absenteeism policies aligned with Dutch legislation Translate legislation into end-to-end processes and ensure compliance across the organization Own the end-to-end absenteeism and health processes, including timelines, documentation, and governance Define and monitor KPIs (e.g., absenteeism duration, disability inflow) and drive performance improvements Align with HR Business Partners, business leaders, and external providers to ensure consistent execution Ensure integration of policies across HR and business domains, including systems and processes Drive standardization, digitalization, and continuous improvement of health-related processes Education and experience Master's degree in human resources, law, business administration, or a related field Minimum of 8 years of experience in health policy, absenteeism, or occupational health Deep knowledge of Dutch legislation related to health and absenteeism (e.g., WVP, WULBZ, WIA, Arbowet) Proven experience in both development and implementation of HR policies in complex organizations Strong stakeholder management experience, including influencing senior business leaders Experience managing cross-functional programs in a large, matrix organization Experience using data and KPIs to monitor performance and drive improvements
