Principal Electrical Engineer - Autonomous Vehicles

Requirements

• -Bachelor/Master Degree in Electrical Engineering
• -Passionate about self-driving vehicles
• -Excellent communication skills
• -Experience with electrical drawings and parts management
• -Experience with prototyping of boards
• Preferred
• -10+ years of work experience
• -Experience with actuators and sensors of varying types
• -Experience with safety critical design work
• -Robotics/autonomous experience is a plus
• -Experience with Verification and Validation processes

Additional Information

The hardware team at ISEE is seeking a full-time electrical engineer with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of electrical engineering. This job includes research as well as development of replacement or new subsystems in the electro-mechanical architecture for both prototype designs as well as production intent designs for autonomous vehicles. Role responsibilities include: -Embedded development, programming and working with embedded developers -Defining and designing communications systems such as CAN(J1939, CANOpen) SPI, I2C, USB, and RS-232. -Working with others to develop and design the overall electrical architecture -Working with others to integrate electronics into vehicles -Design of safety critical system elements -Verification and Validation of electrical systems -Work with suppliers and drive the implementation of development into production -PCB layout, schematic design
