The Counsel will primarily cover BBH's Investor Services line of business but will also be expected to assist on BBH's other lines of business. Some of your key responsibilities include : Providing legal support with respect to BBH's fund administration, transfer agency, custodian/depositary businesses in relation to the provision of these services to a wide range of UCITS and AIFMD clients and other funds throughout Europe. Assisting BBH's Treasury Department in the context of its cash management, interest rate swap and liquidity activities, including as applicable, the review of clearing and swap execution facility trading arrangements. Assisting BBH's FinTech business line with respect to, amongst other things design and launch of services and products in line with applicable laws and regulations. Provide pragmatic legal and regulatory advice and support to ensure compliance and minimize risk. Monitor fund and banking-related regulatory developments and support implementation projects. Participate in industry bodies and peer-networking forums to stay ahead of market trends. Instruct, manage and coordinate external counsel, including synthesis of their advice. Develop and deliver formal training sessions for business teams on key legal and documentary standards. Foster knowledge-sharing and innovation within the legal department. It would be an advantage to have some knowledge of the above areas, but training will be provided for unfamiliar areas. Good commercial contract experience is a definite advantage.
