About the role

This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted position for a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, Position Description Number PDD1155000, and is part of the SC J3, South Carolina Army National Guard. THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION OPEN TO THE FOLLOWING AREA OF CONSIDERATION (AOC): Area of Consideration: This position is open to Areas 1 and 2 Only. Area 1: Current employees of the South Carolina Army National Guard (Tenure 1 and 2) Area 2: Current members of the South Carolina Army National Guard Area 3: Any individual eligible for membership in the South Carolina Army National Guard GENERAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Experience, education, or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts. Experience preparing clear and concise written reports. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 1 year of experience, education or training performing functions involving various intelligence systems and organizations. Experience reviewing and analyzing data including technical reports, surveys, and studies. Experience preparing and conducting training plans and programs, both formal and on-the-job. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: 1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. 2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 3. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. *4. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. 5.
