Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma/GED HS Diploma or equivalent required. Specialized Diploma For NJ Only: Graduate of an accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program which includes, at a minimum, 330 hours of instruction and encompasses training in the administration of intramuscular and subcutaneous injections. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Familiarity with medical office procedures. Ability to travel to various assigned locations. Customer Interaction Knowledge of and ability to utilize practices, tools, and techniques for communicating with a customer. Medical Equipment Knowledge of the common types of equipment or devices used in the healthcare industry, and the ability to use these in patient care.
