About the role

The Marketing Director, Health Systems National Accounts is a senior strategic marketing leader reporting into the Vice President of Health Systems Marketing who will work embedded with the Health Systems GPO leadership team to strengthen how enterprise capabilities, value, and differentiation are understood and positioned within priority Health Systems GPO and Federal Government partnerships. Responsibilities

  • Own enterprise value positioning for National Accounts partnerships (GPO's and VA)
  • Serve as a senior strategic advisor to National Accounts leadership, supporting executive ‑ level discussions
  • Partner on the design of strategic priorities and lead activation of sales and go ‑ to ‑ market initiatives
  • Embed within the GPO team while maintaining alignment with enterprise strategy and capabilities
  • Integrate enterprise capabilities across distribution, specialty, advisory, analytics, and contracting into cohesive GPO ‑ relevant positioning
  • Identify positioning risks, perception gaps, and opportunities that may impact partnership success
  • Support GPO contracting analytics, alignment and strategic initiatives including adoption of enterprise tools and processes
  • Contribute to more consistent, proactive, and structured engagement with GPO partners
  • Basic Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience.
  • Strategic Leadership: Cross-functional planning to build value through differentiation, deep knowledge of McKesson wholesaler economics and purchasing groups relationships.
  • Communication & Influence: Outstanding communication, presentation, and ability to articulate complex messages in a simple, yet compelling way.
  • 8+ years in strategic marketing, enterprise strategy, or related roles operating in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders within the Health Systems leadership team.
  • Strong ability to translate enterprise capabilities into clear, compelling value narratives.
  • Proven experience working across multiple functions to drive alignment and consistency.
  • Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Experience supporting large, complex partnerships such as GPOs, health systems, or similar environments preferred.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Candidate must reside within a commutable distance to Irving, TX.
  • Candidate will be required to be onsite at our Irving, TX Headquarters location two times per week.
  • Up to 15% travel nationwide.
