Graduate Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• As a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll dive into exciting design projects for our world-class MDS equipment line, supporting everything from concept to prototype to production.
• You'll:
• Design and develop innovative mechanical solutions for next-gen equipment
• Create detailed drawings and 3D models (SolidWorks) including weldments and assemblies
• Build BOMs (Bill of Materials) and collaborate with suppliers to gather product data
• Make sure our designs are safe, functional, and field-ready
• Solve real-time engineering problems - both on the production floor and in the field
• Work cross-functionally with teams across engineering, operations, and customer support
• What You Bring
• A degree in Mechanical or Product Design Engineering (or similar)
• Solid grasp of 3D CAD (preferably SolidWorks) and PDM systems
• A passion for designing systems that integrate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical elements
• Problem-solving mindset and creative flair for innovation
• Strong communication skills and team-first attitude
• A curiosity to learn and a "let's figure it out" approach to challenges
• Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Awesome)
• Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis)
• Familiarity with mobile machinery electrical/hydraulic systems
• Understanding of how to balance technical feasibility with commercial impact
• Presentation and stakeholder communication skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally
