About the role
Chevron ENGINE has an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer to join the Process Engineering team. Reporting to the Facilities Process Engineering Manager, this role will be based in Chevron's office in Bengaluru. Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide centralized process engineering support across multiple deepwater facilities, delivering targeted input for priority operational risks, scoped production challenges, and technical inquiries.
- Provide process troubleshooting, technical recommendations, and inquiry support, using data review, targeted field checks, and post-change trending to confirm resolution.
- Support MOCs and small brownfield scopes through technical basis development, design/safeguards reviews, operating envelope impact evaluation, PFD/P&ID markups, sizing/datasheets, and documentation updates to ensure readiness-to-operate.
- Support HAZOP/PHA and other risk assessments, and drive closure of HAZOP/audit/incident action items with practical recommendations and audit-ready documentation.
- Partner with offshore Operations, Reliability, onshore engineering, and vendors/contractors to prioritize work, align on next steps, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of process engineering experience supporting upstream operations and offshore facilities engineering. Demonstrated knowledge of process engineering for offshore oil and gas production facilities, including gas compression, produced water treating, and crude dehydration.
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from a recognized (AICTE) university.
