Responsibilities

  • Maintain and demonstrate a good understanding of the Terminal systems, equipment and operating procedures
  • Recognizes potential energy sources and applies LOTO to ensure a system is removed from service and can be safely worked on or is safely secured
  • Issues Work Permits and supports contractor safety through area inspections and ensuring Irving Oil processes and standards are followed

  • Ensures a high quality of Irving Oil products through quality control including sampling and testing incoming product and inventory supply
  • Performs preventative maintenance through the completion of regular checklists and operating procedures on equipment to ensure maximum utilization and longer life span
  • Shares knowledge learned, hazards recognized and assists with the development of junior operators
  • Assists Drivers as required and provides excellent customer service

  • High School Diploma required. Community College or technical training is an asset
  • 2+ years' experience in the oil and gas industry required. Additional relevant and applicable experience or secondary schooling is a strong asset
