Managing Director, Head of SLC Compensation Delivery - SLC Management

Responsibilities

• Leads and delivers SLC's core compensation programs, including the annual compensation cycle, market benchmarking, salary and incentive design, compensation recommendations, and job evaluation, while ensuring robust governance and compliance with applicable legislation.
• Champions SLC's compensation philosophy, partnering with HR and business leaders to design and deliver programs aligned with business strategy and talent priorities.
• Acts as a senior Total Rewards leader, contributing to SLC rewards strategy, promoting employee‑centric and integrated delivery across total rewards, and supporting capability‑building and talent development for the future.
• Builds strong, trusted relationships with HR Business Partners, business leaders, and cross‑functional teams; provides consultative partnership to understand strategic priorities and translates those insights into compensation solutions that support business objectives.
• Develops sophisticated financial and data models to support compensation decision‑making, including workforce planning, headcount growth, and staffing scenarios.
• Monitors external market, regulatory, and industry trends impacting compensation programs and proactively identifies strategies and responses to maintain competitiveness and compliance.
• Serves as a key member of M&A teams, leading HR due diligence assessments and supporting post‑transaction integration and implementation.
• What you need to succeed:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of experience and a university education in Business, Human Resources or a related field. An MBA or MIR is an asset.
• Possesses a growth mindset with willingness to challenge the status quo, try new things, test & learn and empower others to do the same, innovates and finds new solutions that solve business problems or create business opportunities.
• Anchors decisions in facts, leverages data to generate new insights and opportunities, clearly defines and measures business outcomes to identify course corrections and measure success. Informs strategies and decisions through knowledge of current external research and trends.
