This position is hourly, and the starting pay rate is $20.75/hour with eligibility for a afternoon shift premium of $1.50/hr where applicable (DC roles only), and eligibility for an incentive target of $1,500.00, which is contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives.This job posting is for an existing vacancy.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (You Will):Deliver product to destination in a safe mannerLoad and unload freight on a regular basisComplete circle checks of vehicles daily before driving and complete daily logs as requiredEnsure proper usage of straps/ropes/strapping/banding and tie downs to minimize damage in transportationReport all accidents/incidents/near misses to leaderFill packing slips in order off the printer, taking into consideration priority shipments and delivery timesPack orders according to shipment requests and to prevent damages and follow all messages and ship datesMaintain cleanliness in warehousePlace packages in appropriate staging area with packing slip in delivery binAssist counter area, receiving and other warehouse personnel as requiredConduct circle checks of forkliftsAssist with special warehouse project work as requiredFollow all safety protocol in compliance with WFS Health and Safety policies and proceduresFollow all Safety protocol of the Occupational Health and Safety ActAll other duties as assignedREQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS (You Have):Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent experience requiredPossession of a valid G license required; valid DZ license would be considered an assetClean driver's abstractExperience in a warehouse environment, shipping/receiving, driving, etc. preferredPrevious forklift experience would be considered an assetTeam-player and ability to work independentlyExcellent organizational and housekeeping skillsMust have a winning attitude that makes the team betterProven skills in accuracy and attention to detailGeneral knowledge of computers, email, typing skills, etc.Rewards and Benefits:Our programs provide choice and flexibility to meet your individual needs.
