#LI-DNI We are looking for a Government Affairs Intern ( 6 months internship ) to join our team in Brussels. The Pan-European Government Affairs department plays a crucial role in shaping the regulatory landscape and ensuring that our business operations align with governmental policies and regulations. This department is responsible for engaging with European and national government bodies, regulatory agencies, and industry associations to advocate for the interests of our company. It works closely with internal stakeholders to develop strategies that influence policy and regulatory developments, ensuring compliance and fostering a positive business environment. You will be primarily responsible for: Assist with the tracking of legislation and public policy issues in the area of financial markets on the EU and national levels. Conduct research on specific issues, legislation, or policy initiatives, relevant to financial markets regulatory environment and Euronext business activities. Support the development and execution of advocacy campaigns or outreach initiatives, towards EU and national institutions. This includes preparation of position papers, maintaining database of contacts and outreach updates, and gathering and assessing other stakeholders' positions. Provide clear and concise updates to on a range of policy developments Coordinate work with team members within the Government Affairs (GA) department and across the group Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, assessments and briefing materials for meetings Attend meetings, hearings, conferences or other events and provide summaries or analysis of the events Your Profile: Recent graduate - preferably in the field of law, international relations, EU affairs or political science Available to work in Brussels immediately, for at least 6 months Broad knowledge of the EU institutions, legislative processes and policy environment, ideally in the financial services Keen interest in financial markets, investments and European integration High drive and flexible attitude to the role Ability to work in a multicultural setting, across a team located across several countries Very good analytical and communication skills Fluent in English, knowledge of other European languages (in particular French and/or German) is a plus Working with us means: Working towards the overarching objective to further integrate European capital markets and enhance the competitiveness of the EU.
