*ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT PARKS EMPLOYEES* The Capital Division at NYC Parks is responsible for managing the design, construction and administration of capital projects to expand, improve and revitalize NYC Parks' public spaces. Within the division, the Capital Needs Assessment (CNA) Unit has been established to thoroughly understand the physical condition of these assets, to allocate resources and plan capital projects accordingly. Major Responsibilities - Under direct supervision of the Director of Capital Planning, with considerable latitude for independent initiative and judgment, develop new modules, workflows and data tools, maintain and enhance existing models and applications. - Analyze data from internal (e.g. AMPS, DWH) and external (e.g. NYC OpenData) sources to generate insights into Capital needs. - Conduct thorough and timely reviews of complex spreadsheets (including formulas) to ensure data accuracy and consistency. - Support and enhance team processes, documentation and best practices for data analysis. - Assess and identify gaps in existing processes and identify key points of process improvements. - Represent the Division in interdepartmental working groups and collaborate effectively in cross-functional initiatives.
