Commercial HVAC Tech

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections to sustain system performance and extend equipment life.
• Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical faults across HVAC systems.
• Repair or replace worn or failed components - motors, compressors, fans, thermostats, and more.
• Work from wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Keep customers and teammates up to date on service findings and recommendations.
• Log all work accurately, including tasks completed, parts installed, and observed system conditions.
• Follow applicable safety standards, building codes, and internal company policies on every job.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC technical training or certification preferred.
• 4+ years in an HVAC service technician role or closely related position.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• Ability to read and apply blueprints and technical documentation.
• Methodical troubleshooter with solid problem-solving instincts.
• Effective communicator with strong customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
• NATE certification or comparable credential.
• Commercial HVAC experience.
• Comfort with digital service tools or mobile work order platforms.
