THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number PDD1257000 and is part of the Surface Maintenance Management Office, Wyoming Army National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required. TECHNICIAN INFO Type of Appointment: Permanent Tenure: Group 1 or 2 Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm FLSA: Exempt Telework: The duties of this position require primary physical presence. Situational teleworking may be considered on a case-by-case basis. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work involves supervising, leading, or performing administrative work that involves collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and developing specialized information about equipment. Work also involves providing advisory services to those who design, test, produce, procure, supply, operate, repair, or dispose of equipment. Work may also involve developing or revising equipment maintenance programs. The work requires applying an intensive and practical knowledge of the characteristics, properties, and uses of equipment. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Experience, education, or training which has provided knowledge of one or more classes of equipment. The experience must include knowledge of standard shop terminology. A basic knowledge of mechanical principles relating to equipment. Experience must demonstrate the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical publications. Knowledge is of the type gained from technical training, education, and experience in functions such as repairing, overhauling, maintaining, constructing, or inspecting equipment. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 1-year experience equivalent to at least next lower grade level, education, or training which provided knowledge and skill in applying commonly used equipment, facility, or service principles and concepts. Experience in the use of tools and test equipment. Experience which provided knowledge of maintenance programs and techniques. Knowledge and skill in applying principles, concepts, and methods of equipment design. Experience in the use of tools and test equipment. Experience developing, installing, inspecting, or revising equipment maintenance programs and techniques. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must show start and end in MM/YYYY to MM/YYYY format (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. DRIVER'S LICENSE: You must possess a valid driver's license.
