About the role

We are looking for a skilled Senior Service Technician (Workshop) to join our team. In this role, you will perform maintenance, repair, and inspection activities on mining equipment, ensuring high-quality service delivery while supporting operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on role based in the workshop, with exposure to customer equipment and collaboration with internal teams. Your mission Carry out maintenance, repair, and inspection activities, using diverse tools and techniques with limited supervision. Workshop- or customer site-based, working under the guidance of more senior service technicians. Maintenance and repair basic support Repair and replace parts, following instructions and technical equipment manuals. Identify the basic structure of the equipment, locate the main components, and explain its basic functionality to colleagues. Interpret basic mechanical designs and maintenance manuals, assembling and dismantling to make necessary alignments and adjustments. Perform maintenance tasks independently and verify task results to detect possible problems. Support and guide junior technicians where required Ensure work area is kept clean and tidy, and that tools and equipment are stored appropriately. Planning and reporting Report and document executed work according to relevant procedures and work instructions. Plan for having the correct tools and parts required to perform tasks according to work procedures. (e.g. collect service kits to perform service on machine, book special tools required etc.) Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Adopt a positive approach to building a sustainable Sandvik Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) culture within the workplace.
