About the role
Forter's Fraud and Abuse product team is at the heart of developing Forter's core offering, enabling businesses to make trust decisions about their customers through the entire customer journey. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager based in New York City (hybrid) to join our Offerings Group. This is a unique opportunity to own a high-impact domain end-to-end - from return abuse and refund fraud to coupon exploitation and loyalty manipulation. You'll shape the product roadmap, build the GTM narrative, and work directly with merchants who deal with these problems every day. You'll develop new features alongside our R&D teams (Engineering and Analytics), build the positioning and packaging alongside our Marketing team, and gather direct feedback from our GTM teams and customers globally on their needs. If you've lived these problems from the merchant side and you're ready to own the product that solves them, this role was built for you. Digital commerce is built on trust. At every point along the eCommerce journey, businesses must make a critical decision: Can I trust this customer? Answering this simple question accurately and instantly is powerful-it can accelerate revenue growth and strengthen a company's connection with its customers. How do we do it? Forter was founded on the insight that it's not about what is being purchased, nor where- but who is behind the interaction. The Forter Decision Engine fin
Responsibilities
- Feature Release Leadership: Lead the end-to-end release process for new features and capabilities - from internal training to monitoring initial adoption and feedback. You'll ensure releases meet business requirements and land well with merchants and GTM teams alike.
- Market Feedback Loop: Build a continuous feedback loop from merchants, GTM teams, and market signals to inform roadmap priorities and identify new opportunities for innovation in the fraud and abuse space.
Requirements
- Product Ownership: Proven ability to own a full domain end-to-end - defining roadmaps, shipping capabilities, and driving outcomes. We're looking for someone who has led a product area with real autonomy and accountability.
- Communication: Proven ability to communicate effectively - written and verbal - to both technical and non-technical audiences. You're comfortable presenting to enterprise buyers, enabling a sales team, and writing a one-pager that lands with a merchant CFO.
- Self-Starter Mentality: High autonomy is a feature of this role, not a caveat. You take initiative, operate independently, and hold yourself accountable - without needing to be managed closely across time zones.
