Responsibilities

  • Support the integration of a new diagnostic system for electronic vehicle commissioning from concept to production.
  • Develop the data model for vehicle commissioning via the collection of information to process and create visualizations.
  • Create dashboards to ensure visibility and communication of the data
  • Evaluate, analyze and improve the data obtained by monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement modern data tooling and infrastructure improvements to enhance our analytical capabilities and data platform.
  • Plan and execute tests and verification steps for the owned systems together with all necessary interfaces end-to-end
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement equipment and process in the new Car-IT Architecture test system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and integrate the commissioning sequences and processes.
  • Support development of software programs and scripts to execute electronic vehicle commissioning and tests.
  • Program sequence code on various equipment such as wheel alignment, roller benches, and fluid filling systems in the Universal Testing System.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to equipment integration and data processing.
  • Develop short-term solutions/workarounds for production problems.
  • Identify potential process risks in production processes and develop counter measures to prevent vehicle loss.
  • Maintain and improve program process sustainability.
  • Assess the usability of check programs under series production conditions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve product and process quality.
  • Location & Travel Expectations :
  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in automotive technology, electrical / software engineering, computer science, statistics or equivalent field. Master's degree is a plus. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 4 years professional experience with expertise in automotive manufacturing engineering, production planning or project management.
  • Knowledge of vehicle engineering processes and understanding of manufacturing processes, especially in terms of vehicle software and diagnostics.
  • Proficiency in advanced programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, Java or similar
  • Proficient in SQL database setup as well as data warehouse principles.
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and AI methods, Competence in data management and data mining techniques.
  • Strong skills at communication and cross-functional collaboration, adept at developing effective partnerships and relationships.
